Green Bean Stew


Salam to all, 

           This recipe is for a comfort food of mine. Hot, soupy, and oh so good! Many people do it many different ways.. I'd like to share my version with you guys. 






Ingredients:  (serves 4)

 1-1.5 lb green beans (fresh or frozen.)
1-1.5 lb stew meat already cooked. I show how i cooked it here
1 large onion, chopped
4-5 cloves of garlic, sliced
1 can diced tomatoes, or its equivalent of fresh diced tomatoes
1/2 tsp mix spice
salt , pepper to taste



Directions: 
1. prepare stew meat and cook until tender. (How to cook stew meat for anything!)
2. in a pot, on medium heat, saute the onions and garlic in some oil until tender but not browned. (5 mins)  Then add the green beans to them and saute for another 10 mins to cook it. 
3. throw in the diced tomatoes (un-drained if you are using the can) and saute for a couple more mins. 
4. scoop out all the meat from the broth and add to the beans. Then add broth little by little to the saute pot until it covers everything.
5. add salt and pepper to taste, the mixed spice.. and anything else you want to add. 
6. let everything boil together for around 10 mins and you are done! 

Serve with white rice, or better yet.... Rice with Vermicelli
