Doesn't this cold wintery weather just make you feel it was summer again? I know i can't wait for it to get warm again... So we can go the parks and hang out, or just relax in our backyard.. Or to go over my parents house every sunday for my dad's amazing BBQ.... which makes me crave my mom's bbq'd shrimp..
Here is the recipe i made which is kind of similar to hers.. of course hers is way better, moms always have that kind of touch, (I hope my kids say that about me in 20 years hehe.)
Anyways here is how i did it
( this is Atkins friendly, just watch your portions and count the carbs) {3oz of raw shrimp has 0.8 carbs}
Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp, raw, peeled, tail off
lightly sprinkle each of the following: (abt 1/2-1 tsp to taste)
salt
black pepper
lemon pepper
paprika
Italian seasoning
dried dill weed
drizzle of olive oil
mix and let sit for 20-30 mins..
skewer and grill!
cook for 2 mins on each side (on highest heat) I used my griddle of course, but you can wait til its warm and grill outside..( if you can wait, that is)
serve immediately
Also if you are grilling, u an add some veggies to the "shrimped" skewers because the heat is higher on the grill and it will cook faster. On the griddle i put them on a seperate skewer and put them first because they take a while longer..
